Top 3 Installation Mistakes (with easy fixes!)
1. Not leveling the first panel. If the first panel is hung a bit crooked, then the rest of the panels may align at a downward angle across the whole wall. To fix this, use a level to ensure the first panel is straight and/or overlap the first panel onto the ceiling 1-2 inches, for some wiggle room in case they are hung a bit off. Trim when done.
2. Rushing the smoothing process. Take your time to smooth and squeegee the wallpaper as you move down the wall, running your hand across the wallpaper and ensure there are no bubbles.
3. Using an old blade for trimming and no straight edge. It is 100% worth taking the time to purchase new blades to trim your wallpaper. Equally helpful is a metal or wooden ruler to run your knife along for a super clean, sharp trim.
