1. Gather Your Tools

2. Remove faceplates & socket covers

  • Put the screws, covers, and screwdriver in a bag or bowl, so they’re all together when you’re ready to put them back on)
  • To be extra safe, you can turn off the power when removing socket covers.

3. Do a Quick Warm Water Wipe

  • Use a soft sponge or microfiber cloth and warm water to remove to remove little particles like dust and cobwebs from walls. Allow to dry.
  • If your walls are newly painted, wait three weeks before applying peel-and-stick wallpaper.
  • DO NOT clean your wall with any cleaning solution or alcohol. FOR BEST RESULTS: A clean, smooth, damage free wall is recommended (no cracking or peeling paint).

4. Mark your starting guideline.

Always start from the left side of the wall. Use a tape measure 25” from the left side and mark LIGHTLY with a pencil. (All MyWallImages panels are 25” wide) Place a level (some phones have a level APP) on this mark vertically and draw a [very light!] straight, level, vertical line. This is the guide for your first panel!

  • Got an older house? Molding and corners may not be even, so this first mark is important.
  • OPTIONAL Mark your HORIZONTAL starting guide line. Simple use your level to ensure that the line where the wall meets the ceiling is level and straight. Draw a straight, very faint horizontal line. This is to line up the top of the wallpaper.
